That is Star Trek Nemesis, the final TNG movie and during the current era being used in the Star Trek novels that take place in the 24th century after The Borg have decimated the Federation prior to their final extinction in The Destiny trilogy of novels. I didn't want to simply make her a female version of Kirk, I wanted to make it richer than that so I created a whole new story just for this piece So my little fanboy brain just started turning like mad and I came up with this. She said she'd love to play a 'female Captain Kirk' and I swear I died a little bit inside So I read an interview with Olivia Wilde where she discusses being the new 'it' girl in science fiction and what science fiction role she'd love to take on.
